I've been journaling daily for a little over a year now and I just finished my third journal.
As I was nearing the end of Journal No.3 I knew I wanted to try something different. I made the switch to an Arteza square watercolor sketchbook. It's a different layout from my previous three journals and about double the size.
I started Journal No. 4 a few days ago and I am loving the extra room to get creative. For a while now I've been wanting to add layers to conceal my writing so that I can share a bit more of my pages while keeping my thoughts private and I finally gave it a try.
I watercolored a loose floral arrangement on a piece of watercolor paper that fit with the loose watercolor florals on my journal spread and cut it in half to cover the journaling on both pages.
I LOVE THE RESULT! I can't wait to do more of these. Before I cut up my watercolor I scanned it in to share it with you. If you want to give it a try download the printable below and add it to your journaling. You can use it as is or try cutting it and framing your journaling in a few way. Have fun!
